My heart still breaks when I remember that awful accident. Like so many of us, I have so many sweet memories of Patsy that I couldn't even begin to list them all. Patsy was my first friend in Interlachen. I remember being able to stay home from school with her when her oldest brother was killed in Vietnam. We were only in 2nd grade. She was the reason I passed Geometry since she could explain how to prove those theories and Mr. Weedon just couldn't get me to understand! I took my SAT test with her as we prepared for college. We studied by the lake behind her house. I got a fishhook stuck in my bare foot on her dock. I could go on and on like we all can. Remember her wedding.....we all thought we were so grown up and getting ready to graduate. It was 30 years ago next month that she and Steve got married. She was so beautiful, tender and soft spoken. We were all better people just knowing her. Sigh.............Patsy, you are still missed.
Almost 35 years and I still miss her. We sat outside the school for some tough talks about what lies ahead and she made the tough decisions. She's a huge part of who I became and who I am. I miss her still, even after almost 35 years.

Moving up from Miami in nineth grade was scary. Pasty instantly befriended me and introduced me to other kids. She was such a sweet person.Cathy Miller (McLarty)
