We want to try and nail down a date for the reunion and get some ideas from everyone on what they would like to see/do. 02/04/09 07:45 AM #23     Robert Benson Hey, where is everyone at? Has anyone sent any suggestions in for what-to-dos on Saturday? I have talked to a afew people, and it seems that a good ol' fashioned lake party seems like fun. I am just kidding, but, Possum Kingdom Lake, although it is a few miles from Wichita, about an hour and fifteen minutes, has alot to offer for fun. The weekend that has been chosen would be perfect since the lake has very little going on follwing a big weekend (labor day). Check out Possum Hollow on google. It is a nice place that hosts weddings and such with a casual atmosphere. Just a suggestion. There is plenty of lodging around the lake and should be mostly available on this particular weekend. How many people that live within 250 miles from Iowa Park have boats? If we can come up with enough boats, we could spend the afternoon at Hell's Gate (it's on the net) and the evening at Possum Hollow. Possum Hollow has slips available to park the boats. I have a boat, who else, so we can see if this is functional? I can carry about 12 additional people on mine for a total of 14. If this is not a good plan for the majority, please post that as well. Remembere, we are trying to help Krista and Rhonda, these get-togethers are a major undertaking, and they need your input. Also, I have recommended Wildcatter Ranch and Resort. If we are short on boats, I have a few friends at the lake that might be able to operate their boats for us so we can all get out on the water. I am currently looking for anyone who might be able to charter us out. There are a few sixty and seventy foot houseboats on the lake and I think we could all fit nicely. These boats have a full living area on the first level and a full open party deck on top level, just a thought.

02/08/09 06:42 PM #26     Rhonda Foehner Robert- Wow! That sounds like all kinds of fun, I'm just not sure how feasible it is for this particular get-together.... ?? Certainly worth exploring though. And I believe that Krista and Christine are working on getting Wichita Falls info on hotels/banquet space there too. Deborah- That's great! There's still people missing but we've done a great job at rounding a lot of our class up already. I'm thrilled to be back in touch with everyone. Steve- Will do. I'm behind on a few new people this week. I'll make those happen.

02/10/09 08:05 AM #27     Robert Benson Rhonda- there is plenty of banquet and dining space at possum hollow. Has anyone else checked them out on the net? I was just thinking about an area that everyone can get lodging or rv space or hotel rooms. I frequent the Possum Hollow Camp, as it is called, and it always seems that people enjoy the "relaxed" atmosphere. Lots of room for the kids to run. I have checked on the live music option and the people I have contacted have all said yes, they just need some notice on where, alot of them have kids that they will need to find "other" arrrangments for.

02/24/09 05:53 PM #28     Rhonda Foehner The only thing is that we're planning Homecoming activities at IPHS for Friday... the parade and the football game.. so people from out of town would maybe have to get hotel rooms in 2 separate places, then everyone's got to navigate from IP to Possum Kingdom once they get there and rent a car, etc. It's not impossible, just makes the planning a bit trickier because we'd be dealing with two locations. 02/24/09 06:31 PM #29     Rhonda Foehner I've scanned and added 13 more Sr Photos to updated profiles that were missing them. I'll keep checking periodically as people sign up. There are a small number of people who didn't have their sr photos published in the high school annual that year for some reason, so if you see someone with a completed profile that is missing a sr pic, it's because I couldn't find one in the annual to scan for him/her. Hope everyone's doing well! Rhonda

06/16/09 09:05 PM #37     Susan Howell Sooooooo I REALLY had fun at the 10 year when we went to that karoke bar on Friday night and think we should definitely go out after the game! What exactly is the plan thus far at the Howard Johnson on Saturday? Just curious!!!! I think a lot of people liked the last time where the picnic was Saturday and they were able to bring their kids! Of course I didn't go to that but I also don't play golf! And then the adult party in the evening! I dunno I am rambling really just because I can and I can do it for a long time.....:)

06/17/09 03:35 PM #38     Krista Clifton (Schroeder) Susan... we are still trying to come up with something to do Saturday during day since not everyone does golf. so far we only have 11 kiddo's coming so we are not quite sure yet. We thought about the Plex since they have putt-putt, go carts, bumper boats and laser tag but not quite sure yet. We even talked about bowling. Friday after game there is a place there are two terraces to hang out and there is a bar at the hotel but we just really wanted to get a general idea of what people wanted to do after the game when it happened. If we just go to Howard Johnson and Hang out on Terraces and anyone is drinking it will alleviate having to drive but we will see. Still have a little time to come up with something. The adult party on saturday night is in the Wichita ballroom at Howard Johnson and we will have food, bar, keg & karoake/DJ. Pretty much same as last time.
