Debbie Deaton Ozendes

I married Chuck Ozendes in 1974. We have never lived outside of Texas and don't plan to. However, I followed Chuck to some wonderful places but mainly Turkey, where we found his half sister and three half brothers (a real Sally Jessie Rafeal story for sure) We have two great kids, 4 really great grandkids and only two awesome outlaws, Ms. Kelli, our son's beautiful, treasured wife and Sam Berube, our daughters awesome husband! Chuck and I live on some property outside of Pottsboro, on the southside of Lake Texoma (the Texas side) with one horse, a few cows, two jennys and our border collie Molly.
We are members of 1st Baptist Church In Denison. We are blessed beyond measure.

I didn't care for school. I liked P.E. and running track. I do remember while running track. Our girls track team beat the Nimitz boys track team. It was GREAT! Their coach did not want them challenging us...too bad...they did and they got beat, BAD!

I have just recently reconnected with Kay Dunaway and Deana Buchanan through FaceBook. We got together over dinner and had a great visit. Those girls are awesome.

I had a blood transfusion when I was two.

I worked on construction for my Dad during summers in college. He would challenge the men to keep up with me as I hoisted sheet metal panels while offering me a big bonus for working really fast. It was great fun but hard work.

Watching Corvette MGinnis dance and Lu Gunalatelaga (sp for sure) dance in the school talent show. Corvette's was jazzy and Lu was in full India costume. (remember that?) Also Scott Casin and Rudy Littrell were very talented. We had a lot of talented kids at IHS.
