Rod Scogin passed away in 2009 from complications of a stroke.  He is survived by his mother, Lou Thomas; stepdad, Roy Thomas; and sister Dianna Thomas Totten.  Rod's mother and Liz Brown Miller's mom were best freinds growing up in Hot Springs, Arkansas.  His mom moved to Muscle Shoals, Alabama where Rod was born.   When the Browns moved to Irving in 1964, Rod and his mom came to Irving to live with them until they got settled in.  Rod and his family stayed in Irving and graduated with us in 1970.  Rod frequently rode to school with Liz, Davey Powers and others.
