Spent a life time training horses, raising children and enjoying life. 1996 Horsemaster for the first Equestrian Paralympic games in Atlanta, GA.
30 yrs. training people with disabilities and growing non-profit agencies.

Only classes I enjoyed were choir and gym. Spent after school at the barn. Spent weekends at the barn and competing.

As a child, I rode my horse all over Irving. Couldn't do that today! Most of my friends were free spirits and allowed to roam. This was good and bad for me.

A few old friends. Betty Romberg Watkins and I still send Christmas cards and chat. We grew-up across the street from each other and were always best friends even when we went our separate ways. Burt, Gary and Richard are facebook friends.

I am married to a Ph.D. Engineer and Harvard Physicist, Ed McBride. That was even a surprise to me! That was, of course, after I married and divorced a motorcycle racer, Thomas Ballou. Tom and I had two great children who have given us wonderful grandchildren. Tom died from a heart attack a few years back.

I'm still training horses and enjoying retirement.

I just started battling breast cancer. This won't stop me. I spent most of my life with people who have disabilities. This is nothing.

I enjoyed Gym, choir and English. Standing around in the hall before school with my boyfriends. Mostly, I didn't like school.

I was too consumed with my after school and weekend activities, horses.
