JANICE GRANT

GRANT Janice Grant, a longtime resident of the Jacksonville Beaches area, passed away on August 7, 2011 in Apple Valley, Calif. Jan attended St. Paul's Catholic School in Jacksonville Beach and Fletcher Senior High School in Neptune Beach, FL., where she cheered athletic teams to victory as a member of the cheerleading squad, graced us with her beauty on the homecoming court, and sang her way into our hearts a member of local vocal groups. Janice attended Grossmont College in Southern California and San Diego State University. She was employed by Delta Airlines, Pacific Southwest Airlines/US Airways and American Express. An accomplished guitar player, Jan enjoyed entertaining friends and family with her music. She continued to share her gifts with others at every opportunity. She founded the band, 'Grant Avenue' and rocked crowds at festivals, weddings and other events. She had a wonderful smile that always lit up a room, a sense of humor that would make you laugh until you cry, and a very generous spirit.
