Died Sunday, January 18, 2009. Kenny was the son of Arthur ( AJ) and Mattie Bell Ruffin. His wife name was Charlotte and they had 4 children. Kenny, was a member of the FHS band while at Fletcher. He graduated in the Class of 1971. His brother Arthur , Edward , William"Pint" , and sister Carmen attended Fletcher and along with cousins Jimmy Gamble( 1971 ), Priscilla Gamble( 1972 ), Sylvia Martin( 1973) and several others. His sister Harriet Ruffin Williams was a graduate of Douglas Anderson. It was at his homegoing services that several classmates talked and it made us all yearn to see our classmates from years past and from this ,our planning started to have a mass reunion of black alumni who attended schools in the beaches area from 1068 to 1976. We also want to hour our teacher alumni during this time.

I remember my friend named Kenny Ruffin. I saw you from time to time over the years, and you were that same sweet gentle person. The last time I saw you, we were in church and you were serving God. I commend you friend for getting your life right with God, as we all has and have to do if we want to be with our Lord. You are trully missed by us all.
