Anybody else Mrs. Mclaughin's junior and senior English classes? She was the hardest teacher (remember the weekly 'get in front of the class' recitations every Friday? The college level grammar books we had to use. The term paper every year? Have to admit, she made me learn a lot!! I find myself still finding grammar and spelling errors when I read (and write) things.

Wow! The memories you brought back. I remember Fr. Coty so clearly and how he had no control over the class. I also remember the birds eating the fermented berries in the courtyard and going crazy. Mrs. Fellows Home Ec classes were always fun (and usually an easy 'A'). The wool skirts were brutal, but I remember rolling them up at the waist so that we could be wearing short skirts to be in style. I remember watching the World Series in Miss Martin's math class. I also remember the sleepovers. Coach Parete's shock when the blackboard he was leaning on shattered behind him, and, boy did you have to take notes in his classes. Senior class song - Born Free. Good times. My father used to tell me that the happiest days of my life would be high school. He was right!!
