On September 7th at 4:00 pm Duval County School Board Building former graduates of Robert E. Lee High School will gather to support the football
complex being named "Leon Barrett
Stadium." The new football field will be named "The General's Field" In honor of ALL the Generals that played at this school past and in the future. If you played any sport under Coach Barrett we asked that attend this meeting on his behalf. Tell all your team mates and wear your Blue and Gray jackets, sweaters or shirts. Let's support Coach Barrett, a man that dedicated his
entire career at this school!

There is now an artificial turf football field, installed last year.

Yes, Name was changed to Riverside HS about 2 years ago, Though the blue & grey remains their sports colors are more royal & neon green (think Seattle Seahawks accents)

Reunion #55 is in the works June 2024, plans are being developed and will be posted on Class Creator

Plans for  55TH reunion are in the works.  Keep an eye out foor save the date.  Right now we have a date of June 8th planned.  Anyone that hhas been saving their nickles and dimes, we could use sponsors to help defray the overall costs.  It really helped at the 50th.  I think we raised an additional $6-7K to help with drinks and other miscellaneous costs.

Keep your eye open and I'll let you know when they will be mailed.

Hi All, 

I wanted to share my new website with you all.  It is  Https://www.mjanejohnsonart.com.  Busy with several shows and two art fairs coming up in Oct.  I hope to see everyone in 2024 at the 55th reunion!  It depends on my other half's health and ability to be left for a few days. 

I have been avidly reading in my spare time and am on track to read over 40 books this year.  Would anyone be interested in a book club or book recommendations?  Several favorites are Echo of Old Books, Ken Follet's Kingbridge Series, Nightingale, and Observer.  

I had my right knee replaced in 2022 and was walking without aid and driving by the second week.   I am an avid Pilates and erg fan, taking classes four times a week.  The older we get, the more we need to stay in shape. 

If anyone is interested in a Zoom call, I can go ahead and coordinate that.
