Survived By: His sons, Mike Jr, Paul and Ronald Platt
Michael attended Loretto and San Jose Elementary Schools - Landon Jr. High, Dupont and Wolfson High Schools and was a member of Ironworkers Local 597. Michael was quiet and mostly shy. Michael always liked to have a good time with friends and family. He had 3 other brothers and 2 sisters and many friends. He lived on the intercoastal in St Augustine where he loved to fish. He also enjoyed Nascar. He was divorced at the time of his stroke on 07/09/12 and was at home in the care of Hospice. My husband I took care of him until his death on 11/06/12. We cherish those last few months with him.

Frieda, thank you for adding Michael's picture to our group. Many of us go way back to San Jose Elementary days with Mike....not a guy you wanted to pick a fight with, he was definately scrappy. And I think Mike grew up hard, always liked him even when we couldn't agree who's baseball glove it was it Mrs Fletcher's 6th grade class.....that's the year president Kennedy was assassinated and I remember her crying as she told us we were all being allowed to go home early on that Friday. She was a great teacher and was kind and understanding of Mike.
Jesus came for all of us, especially the Michael Platts who perhaps didn't fit in but needed His love too!!

Thank you Lee. Michael certainly didn't take any guff from anyone for sure but he had a really good life with three sons, good job and home he built on the intracoastal here in St Augustine. He loved the water. You would have been proud. Hope to see you at the reunion as well. Had a 2-week trip planned in Europe for April and it was postponed to June and now indefinitely, so I hope it doesn't get rescheduled on that week of the reunion. I pray you and your family are well and good. Good memories ❤️
