Robert Glenn [Bobby] Ford VIEW PROFILE

Bobby Ford died November 5, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on October 25th.  His wife, Carolyn "Muffin" Cates Ford, Class of 1971, is recovering from injuries sustained in the accident.

 
 
Robert Glenn “Bobby” Ford, Jr. died unexpectedly on Nov. 5, 2014 in Jacksonville, FL at the age of 62. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Mildred, and his sister, Debbie. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Carolyn Ford; children, Allison Siers (Jeremy) and Spencer Ford (Ashley Shoemaker); his grandchildren, Kaeden, Jackson, Jarett, and Charlotte who were the lights of his life; brother-in-law, David Cates and family; sister-in-law, Sharon Cates family; and closest family friends, Tom Collins, Nancy Nicholas, and families. Bob was born on March 15, 1952 to Robert and Mildred Ford. He graduated from Wolfson High School in 1970. He married his high school sweetheart in 1975 and they went on to have two children together. He was the owner of Progressive Painting and long time business partner of Kerry Pierce. He will be remembered as a kind hearted and generous man who was respected and admired by all. He loved his family, politics, the piano, and playing golf. He was truly a prince of a man and will be forever missed. A private memorial service is to be held at the family’s home at a later date.
