In Memory

Bob Dupont - Class Of 1975

Robert, affectionately known as ‘Bob’, has been laid to rest peacefully on February 25, 2024. Bob was born June 27, 1957 in Jacksonville, Florida to Robert and Rosilyn DuPont.  He is survived by his wife, Susan; daughters, Casey and Nikki; sister, Anita; brother, Richard; and man’s best, friend Riley. Connecting with people who shared his passions, Bob lived 66 years full of family, friends, and devotion.

Enlisting with the United States Air Force in 1977, Bob started a lifelong career of 42 years combining enlisted and civilian service. During his career at Eglin AFB, he built his experience from flightline as weapons load crew to test squadron for guns and ammo.  Some proclaimed him a gun god due to his expert knowledge. Bob enjoyed creating lifelong friendships throughout the Air Force with those he worked with through mentoring and shared knowledge. Bob had a deep connection to the outdoors as an avid camper and hiker.  He had many planned adventures and some unplanned explorations.  Bob was always ready to hike any trail and dared to stand the closest to the edge for the best view. His passion for camping was family quality time and nothing could rival his dutch oven pineapple upside-down cake.  Bob was known as a skilled craftsman and carpenter who enjoyed sharing his creations. His final project was his dream lake house. Built by hand with family and friends, the lake house became his lake paradise for family, fishing and evening campfires.
