Richard Allen Wadsworth passed away peacefully, on March 7th, 2024, in Lakeland, Florida, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Ocala, FL on October 11th, 1957, to Curtis Daniel Wadsworth and Mary Evelyn (Hill) Wadsworth, he was raised in Jacksonville, FL., graduating from Terry Parker High School in 1975. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp, traveling extensively, and retiring after 20 years of service in 2003.

He dearly loved his family and friends and was fiercely loyal. He was a mischievous child, (always got caught), and loved talking about his adventures growing up with extended family on holidays in Wildwood and Winter Park. He remained an avid artist throughout his life and was most proud of his children. He will be missed.

Richard is survived by his parents C.D. and Mary Evelyn Wadsworth, daughter Christina McCreeless (Billy), son Christopher Wadsworth, sister Nancy Proctor (Tom), brother Clayton Wadsworth, niece Selby Proctor, and many cousins.
