Once on scene of the crash site it was determined that 66-year-old Todd Bruno was deceased and he was the only person on board.
At this time the GBI, Talbot County Coroner, FAA and NTSB were called in to investigate. During this time the Georgia Forestry Commission assisted with pushing a road into the dense woods to gain accessibility by vehicle; because of how dense and rough the terrain was disturbed. The crash scene and deceased were turned over to GBI, Talbot County Coroner, FAA, and NTSB. During the investigation, it was determined that the left wing and part of the tail had been ripped off prior to the crash landing.
“On, August 12, 2023, hunters in the Old Wire Rd. area stated that they had found at least, to what they believe to be, some of the tail wing and left wing of the plane, on their property.
