
Reginia (Jeanna) Ann Collins Lauver was born on September 26, 1957. She was taken to live with the Lord on February 22, 2022 after a short illness. She is predeceased in death by her mother, Sadie Lee Collins, and her father Lewis McLean Collins. She was born in Tachikawa, Japan while her father served in the United States Air Force.
Jeanna is survived by and was married to William H. Lauver for 46 years. Jeanna and Bill have 2 daughters, Marisa Dawn Lauver Bernard (Christopher), and Kristin Marie Lauver Ziegler (John IV). Jeanna has 3 grandchildren, William Tanner Lauver, John Henry Ziegler V, and Nevaeha Faith Bernard. Jeanna is also survived by two sisters and 3 brothers. Lynn Keener, Gerald Collins, Kevin Collins (LaNay), Alisa Hamer (Sammy) and Tross Collins. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Betty Lauver (Mammy) and brother-in-law Lee Lauver (Sue). Jeanna was aunt and great-aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind numerous cousins.
Jeanna was a loving wife and a wonderful mother and grandmother to not only her children and grandchildren, but to any adults and children who came through her door. She was team mom in many instances when Bill coached the girls’ softball teams. She ran the concession stand and was Treasurer of Justina Athletic Association until it closed in 1998. All of the girls at Justina Athletic Association saw her home as a second home and her as an added mother and friend.
Jeanna was a big Florida Gator and Atlanta Braves fan. She loved to camp and went camping as often as possible both using tents in the early years and finally working her way up through a pop up camper into a 5th Wheel. Camping with friends on a long weekend was one of her favorite past times.
Jeanna was an avid reader and always had a book or two with her to read when she drove her friends and family to doctors’ appointments. She loved to do crafts. She made quilts, sewed clothes for the children of friends, helped make wooden Adirondack chairs, and was constantly on the go.
