Mathew Pace

Well, after good old TCA I started out at FCCJ and changed my major about 4 times in less that one year. I quit FCCJ after one year to work full time at a non-profit called Project SOS. After working there for a year I went back to FCCJ part time to finish up my two year degree. Also, I met my wife at SOS. We got our first two years of marriage out of the way before we even got married because we worked together 24/7 for two years.

In 2003, we moved to Lakeland, FL. I wanted to finish my degree at Southeastern University. I lived on campus for one semester and then on Jan 2nd 2004 I married Jen. In Jan of 2005 we moved back to Jacksonville where we both resumed work at Project SOS. Our daughter was born November 14, 2005, I graduated December 2005 and we moved into our newly built house in December 2005. Good times.

Currently we are living in St. Petersburg, FL serving as Executive Pastor at Suncoast Church, my wife serves as our Christian Education Director and Benevolence Director and we have 4 children.

I went to TCA for my whole life, so...
kindergarten - Mrs. Hines and multiple referrals and multiple spankings...

1st Grade - somebody pushed me into the bookbag and coat cubby and all the coats fell on me and Mrs. Olson thought I was playing around and she literally yanked me up. Hence my fear of coats.

2nd Grade - Mrs. Kerns. Need I say more?

3rd Grade - my first crush on a classmate...

4th Grade - Mr. Harding (coolest teacher ever) and kickball on the playground. First AB honor roll.

5th Grade - We had a sub for a long time because Mrs. Langland got pregnant and he was mean. He would walk around with a yardstick and slam it on to our desks. Also, my first fight. I lost.

6th Grade - That was just a weird year. Really bad teacher. Long story short my dad spends to whole day with me at school one day because he wanted to teach me a lesson. That was embarrassing. Also, scary times when Bobby Burton would have a seizure in class. I was on the safety patrol and that was real cool...

7th Grade - Good old Middle School! My second crush on a classmate, which lasted until my senior year. JV football (why did I even think that was going to happen?) Mrs. Miller's science class. She was moody...

8th Grade - nothing really stands out. the year I got my braces off...

9th Grade - made some really good friends that year, but again nothing really stands out.

10th Grade - being the kicker for the varsity football team. My one regret is not sticking with that. French class with Leslea Jarrell, Will Hill, and Jeremy Thompson.

11th Grade - French class again... finally turned 16 and got a car. I think this is the year I started dating. Also the year I started working at Publix and me and Clayton Wood became best friends.

12th Grade - Guys Home Ec with Mrs. Robertson. AP Bio (can't even begin to tell you what when on in that class) I actually think this is the year I started dating. Being voted most attractive (what were you guys thinking?) Graduating! I also remember Mrs. Denton taking my NHS sash away just before we walked the aisle because my GPA was 3.49 and not the required 3.5. Still bitter.
