Josph Paul Butler

Joseph Paul Butler passed away July 6, 2023 at the age of 77 with complications from Multiple Myeloma.

Andrew Jackson H.S. graduate, and UNF alumni. He joined the United States Navy in 1965 where he served 4 years active duty then transferred to the Reserves. He served 40 years for the United States Navy and retired as a Master Chief in 2005 from NAS JAX VP-62 squadron. He joined the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office in 1970 and retired as a Sergeant after 35-years of service.

He is survived by his wife Kathleen after 56 years of marriage, his children Joseph, Sherman, Jennifer, five grandchildren, and three sisters. Memorial Services: 8/25/23 8:30 am at The Harvest Time Sanctuary Church of God, 4502 Old Middleburg Rd N. Graveside: 11am at The Jacksonville National Cemetery 4083 Lannie Rd. He will be laid to rest with full Navy and Police honors.

With his heart of gold, he helped so many, with all our Love you’re greatly missed.
