Died August 19, 2006

 Following a courageous battle with leukemia, Linda C. Taylor, 58, of Fernandina Beach, went home to be with her Lord, Saturday, August 19, 2006, while surrounded by her sisters and brothers at her mother's home. Linda, a member of Community Baptist Church of Yulee, was the former Director of Littlest Angels Preschool of Yulee. She was also an avid bowler and enjoyed her time as a member of the “Dolly's Dolls” Chapter of the Red Hat Society and also the Kraft Athletic Club (Ten Acres). She is loved and will be missed by her mother, Mary “Dolly” Nelson; father, J.D. Carpenter; step father, Carl Ackman; 2 sons: Jason & John Brian Taylor; 2 sisters: Betty (Dennis) Johnston & Myrtle (Robbie) Robinson; 2 brothers: Jim “Sonny” (Leigh) Carpenter & Carl (Joanne) Ackman; and many other loving family & friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 22, at Community Baptist Church, 2035 Bayview Rd., with Pastor Hartford Peeples, officiating. Interment will be in Green Pine Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Monday ( TODAY ) at COREY-KERLIN FUNERAL HOME, 1426 Rowe Ave. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, c/o Shands at UF, 1600 S.W.
