Bette Jo Lloyd Wolf

June 6, 1947 - April 5, 2019

Bette Jo (BJ) Lloyd Wolf, 71, of Suncrest Drive in Myrtle Beach died peacefully in her home on Friday morning, April 5th, under the care of her husband and hospice. She was the daughter of Dortha Barr and the late Repard Bennett Lloyd, and her stepfather, Ray W. Barr.

She was married to Edward James Wolf in Jacksonville, Florida on November 08, 1969. They spent the first twenty years of their marriage travelling between duty stations for the United States Navy. Their next twenty-eight years were spent in Woodbridge, Virginia. Their retirement destination was Myrtle Beach, where they have resided for the past two and a half years.

BJ graduated from St. Vincent’s School of Nursing in Jacksonville, Florida. She worked in a nursing capacity until 2014, when she retired to begin caring for her mother.

She is preceded in death by one brother, Allen Barr, and her father, Repard Lloyd, and her stepfather, Ray Barr.

She is survived by her husband, Edward Wolf, her children Kristen and her husband, Mark Schroeder and their three children, Tommy, Danielle, and Katie Schroeder, of Stafford, Virginia, and Kyle and his wife, Kelly, and their two children, Anna and Elliot, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 9 at Myrtle Beach Funeral Home at 7 PM, with a viewing beginning at 6 PM.
