Comments:

I graduated from college and taught French and English to middle school students in Bethlehem, PA. Husband of 1 week was drafted and spent a year in Vietnam. I returned to Jax. And waited for his return. I taught at Raines HS, transferred to Stanton College Prep, worked as a supervisor in the district office. Became a school administrator working at Paxon School for Advanced Studies, back to Stanton as a vice principal and then to Darnell Cookman as a principal. I have had wonderful career in a field that I love.

School Story:

I remember Mrs. Cahoon's 10th grade English class, She was teaching Julius Caesar. It was hard to keep a straight face because the guys in the room kept mimicking her very affected speech. She was so into her world she never seemed to notice. I remembered Moses Meide being made ton wear, I think a dress in Ranna Smith's English class. I loved the pep rallies. I so wanted to grow up and be Anne Rice.

What are your hobbies?

I Play a little bridge, travel when and where I can. Fight the battle of the bulge and try to keep the hound of age at bay so that I can keep up with my grand kids. My husband and I are planning a trip to the Grand Canyon so we can spend a week white watering rafting on a guided tour through it. This may be the end of me. At 66 I am not sure that I will survive. I love watching Downton Abbey, reading James Patterson and going to movies, lunching with the ladies, and loving life for as long as I am able.

What are your "Favorite Things"?

I love animals. I have a snowshoe Siamese and a Golden Retriever that I share with my wonderful grand children. I love college football and following the GA bulldogs. Love traveling even if it is around the block. I loved Hawaii, Nova Scotia, and Alaska. Costa Rica wasn't bad either.
I love all kinds of music..even commercial jingles. I a especially love Broadway. I did some acting in college and local theater.
