COOKBOOK as Fundraiser??

Fellow Beaver Fever Adherents:

Let's give compassionate consideration to a Reunion Cookbook as a fundraiser.  Its primary purpose would be for emergency scholarships to select alumni caught in the grips of the current Economic Meltdown!

  1. We may have some jobless alumni who are now suffering out there;
  2. What about foreclosure families?  We who are safe needn't be jaded;
  3. Long-distance out-of-towners will bear a heavy economic burden. Consider transportation from JFK Airport--taxi, bus, LIRR.  And hotel reservations.
  4. Some among us may have health issues that inhibits excessive travel.
  5. Many of us would like to show the actual Jamaica HS grounds to family.  Compelling far travel to Melville out Suffolk way pulls us away from that.

As to cookbook specifics, we might attempt a compilation of ethnic family recipes.

An appropriate name?  Let's go with: THE MELTING POT POTPOURRI COOKBOOK.
