WHY NO EARLY WARNING???

FELLOW ALUMNI:

It seems to this former newspaper reporter that we were caught asleep at the switch, so to speak.  Nobody bothered to monitor the warnings early on.

The hour is probably past to reverse the Board of Ed decision to shut down our dear Alma Mater.  I feel disappointed, a bit cheated, in how the process went.  Someone alerted me to last week's NY TIMES article.  That was at the 11th Hour plus!

Let's unite for more effective communication.  To quote a former supervisor, "That's like closing the barn door...after the horse has escaped!"

I guess all we have to do is to sniff the manure.

Candidly yours,
