Duff was a dear friend of mine through junior high, high school and at NYU. He was living in Manhattan after graduating college and became a writer.Years later he moved to California where he died in the late 70s. He had a great sense of humor and was a terrific person.
Duffy (he was Duffy then)and I ate lunch together in the glamorous Jamaica High School cafeteria. He was one of the funniest peple I ever met. We laughed until the milk from those little containers came through our noses. The world needs more people like Duff. I am so sorry that he was gone so soon.
I agree. Was so sad to hear this. I have not been in contact with Duff since high school. But he did make me laugh so much. He also taught me to add tomato paste to my sauce. Do not ask me why I remember this, but I do. I got to know him through Ellen Jernow who I am still in contact with. He was a delight. gl
