I accidentally read of Alan's death in the obituary last year of his brother, Dr. Ernest Kovacs. I have not been able to locate Alan's obituary, but a grave location is noted in Sysoon. Unfortunately, I lost contact with Alan shortly after graduation from Jamaica High and have no other information.
