Dan received his BA from Queens College, his MCP from UC Berkeley, his Ph.D from Cornell University and had been a professor in the Urban Planning Dept of San Jose State University for close to 30 years. He had a life-long passion for music which in later years he expressed through his radio show on KUSP in Santa Cruz, and he also had a profound love for cats.
