Jay and Sid were friends from 186th Lane in Fresh Meadows. Jay Steven Alpert died unexpectedly at home on 9/10/2015 with his wife at his side. He is survived by his wife Loraine, his brother Sid Alpert (Yoshie-wife). Jay grew up in New York City and his family remains in the New York/Connecticut metropolitan area. He graduated from MSU and had lifelong friends in the area. His friends from Beggars Banquet were often in his thoughts. Jay loved life, had friends not acquaintances, and was a passionate golfer.
