(So how many lines do we get?!) ;-)
Well, right after graduation, I went to Germany for a month where I stayed with Julia, a German exchange student my family hosted. It was an amazing experience that included visiting the newly liberated East Berlin (Pink Floyd was there performing in concert "The Wall" and at the time I was unimpressed, "Who’s she?" I wondered); drinking water from what I thought was a bubbler in the park that turned out to be 300-year-old bird bath; and driving on the crazy speed limit-free Autoban (it was like 4AM and I was driving home from the discotech four very drunk Germans). That fall I attended UW-Eau Claire, then transferred to UWC-Rock County. I took a hiatus from school and worked various jobs -- everything from Taco Bell, to modeling, to factory work, to working as a nanny in Chicago and Florida. Fast forward a couple years later and I married my best friend, Jamie, before graduating from UW-Madison with a B.S. in Interior Design. (I chose this degree because it required the least amount of math -- you just mention the word "math" and my eyes glaze over...just ask Mr. Lehmann!) I was gainfully employed as a Facilties Designer by the DOT in Madison, then regrettably quit once I was put on 3 months of bedrest for the duration of my high-risk twin pregnancy due to Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS). A year later I started working part-time at The Home Depot. Now, however, I'm a "mamaprenuer". My company is Rock-a-Thigh Baby and I design eco-friendly thigh-high socks for children (I outsource the manufacturing here in the USA). Feel free to check out the RTB business Facebook page and website. Other than that, my family is my #1 priority. I'm also involved in various children’s ministries at church and I enjoy playing sand-volleyball, WoW (that's World of Warcraft for you noobs, tee hee), skiing, and fishing.
