I graduated from Purdue with a Masters in Aerospace Engineering in 1968. I joined McDonnell Aircraft (now the Boeing company) in September, where I worked until I retired in April 2008. I was very fortunate to be involved in the design of the F-15, F/A-18, AV-8B Harrier, and many other airplanes in my career. I spent the last 20 years of my career in advanced aerospace research, where I have conducted many flight test programs and analytical studies. During this time I have traveled extensively on business and pleasure, including 25 trips to Europe. I have three patents, including the patent on the system currently being tested which will allow non piloted aircraft to autonomously refuel in the air from existing Air Force tankers. This system will go into production shortly, and will provide this country with the capability to deploy UAVs (Uninhabited Air Vehicles) anywhere in the world. I have been honored by many awards and I feel that I have had a very successful and fruitful career. I retired in 2008 as the Director of Engineering.
Linda and I will have been married for 40 years in October 2009. We have two sons and three wonderful grandsons, ages 3, 2, and 1. We travel extensively and enjoy life. I am currently involved in my church and Habitat for Humanity.
BS in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, Purdue University, 1967, graduating Magna Cum Laude
MS in Aerospace Engineering, 1968
Numerous additional graduate courses in Nuclear and Mechanical engineering.
