Comments:
I moved to Atlanta,Ga. where I met my first husband Mal and had a son named Brian in 1968. I became involved in real estate development there and continued this career until I retired in 2004 after being diagnosed with breast cancer. In 1975 Mal & I divorced and in 1985 I met Jim Cole and we were married in 1987. Jim sold his brokerage company in Atlanta and we moved to Destin, Florida where we both enjoyed offshore billfishing on our boat among many other things. In January,2005 Jim was diagnosed with cancer and passed away June 28,2005. Since that time I spend time with friends, play with my best bud "Buffy" (a maltese),enjoy working in my yard. I would have loved to be at the reunion but as you may or may not know Hurricane Gustav was in the Gulf and I did not feel comfortable leaving my home with the storm looming. Well, there's a quick snapshot of my last 45 years.
June 2013 Update---- In March 2010 I was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer so it has been a sometimes difficult road these past few years. I am happy to say at this time, with the blessing of the Lord, I am in remission but still on a 4 month scan and check-up schedule. Once we got pass June 2011 my son insisted it was time to sell my home in Destin and move to the Atlanta area where I could be closer to my family. I am now living in Georgia in a condominium which is much easier to take care of----have all my family close including my youngest sister who retired from nursing this past year and has been terrific in assisting me with new doctors, etc
