What's that? On the Home Page - It's a new poll.

Now you, too, have the opportunity to suggest when the 2009 reunion will be. Hurry! You will only get one vote. Of course, you can try to influence your friends via this forum.

Okay, I'm not gonna be the first one to get on here and say when I want to have the reunion. I think we should at least discuss it for a while and come up with a time when the MOSt of us can be there. I know that I will not be in town on Memorial day week-end or the third weekends of April and October. If that is the times when the most of us can come, then I will try to make other arrangements, as I do want to get together with you guys again. After all, I have been promised quite a few hugs and I definitely want to collect on them!!
I know that a lot of you have a long way to come and some of you still work, whereas I live in Lufkin and am retired.
So lets get started so that Roy can make a few plans and get some commitments!!

Just letting you know that we lost baby Jack yesterday. He went peacefully, just went to sleep. He fought a good fight. He actually died a couple of days earlier for almost two minutes, but came back to us. Guess he was just making a little reconnaissance trip. His mom had been showing him pictures of those who went before us so he wouldn't be afraid. He's been such a joy his short little life and has touched so very many people.

Once again, please know how very much my family appreciates all of your thoughts and prayers. You've been wonderful. Now we have someone else to look forward to seeing on the other side!

Hugs to all,
Kay

I have written Roy and volunteered to furnish whatever catfish we need to have a fish-fry and Ira Glen has volunteered to have it at his lake house at "the point" on lake Rayburn.I will also be glad to help in any other way possible to get this thing going.

Sue,

At the bottom of the home page you will see a list of birthdates for next 30 days on those classmates that are members of this site and have chosen to let other members see their birthdate. One more reason to visit the site.

Billy Ray,

I had already answered your private email before I saw your Message Forum post. The offer on the fish is wonderful and will be happily accepted, especially after both you & ira Glenn admitted to the willingness to labor over the gift as well as participate in consumption of said gift. Ira says he would love for us to hold an event at his home on Lake Rayburn at The Point. He is confident that his wife, Robbie, will be in agreement with him. I have not officially heard Robbie say "Yes", but Ira is confident.

I look forward to seeing all when that "Good time" comes. If you know anyone that has not yet voted for the date of the reunion, tell them to go to the Home Page and vote for their choice.

Glad you had a good Birthday!

What a small world! A few weeks ago, I was visiting my younger brother, Ben Scott, in Las Vegas, NM. His wife was doing a wine tasting at an old restored hotel in Old Town there when she called to tell us that a woman was there who knew us Nelsons and went to school with me and her name was Helen Frost. We quickly got over there and sure enough, there she was! In fact, she and her husband, who live in Santa Fe, provided the wine from their wine distributorship business in Santa Fe. We had a fine time getting re-acquainted, drinking some good New Mexico wine, eating some good food and enjoying life. It was good to see her. Life is good!
P.S. She has the same wonderful smile.
P.P.S. For those of you who would like to communicate with her, her email is hpfrosty@gmail.com.

Just wanted to ask everyone for their prayers for the surgery I'm having on Monday, July 13th. It's nothing serious just some "plumbing repair" but having people pray for you is always a comforting and welcome thing. Thanks!
