Hey guys, have a good New year. If you are planning on partying tonight, remember--"old bodies can't take it like our younger bodies could". Have a good time, but use common sense. I'll probably be in bed for the new years arrival. I know; I'm a fuddy duddy, but I'm OLD.
HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!

Happy New Year to all from Alaska. It's 30 below zero today. I know, Cary, it isn't as cold as you guys, but it's cold enough for us wimpy Coloradoans. Baby Jack is doing as well as can be expected. He's so sweet. Thanks so much to all for the prayers. They are helping us get through this.

We saw an Aurora last night. Awesome.

Kay

Hello to everyone!

Well, I have been very busy in the last several weeks. I have made a big decision in my life ~ I am moving to San Antonio. Should be there by mid February if things keep going the way they are. I sold my house in one week. We are scheduled to close on January 30. Soooo, still proof that this old redhead doesn't let grass grow too long or tall under her feet! I have been so blessed and my heart is pulling me to San Antonio. Have really wanted this for about 5 years now. I'm going for it!!!

I am so in hopes we are going to have a reunion in 2009. I just can't wait to see everyone.

Anyone in San Antonio? Let me know - we can get together there!!! Yipee . . . . .
Hugs to all,
Sue

Billy Ray,

I enjoyed your "school story" on your profile page. If you have not read the post I made to the "In Memory" for Kyle, please do. It may bring back some more of those fond memories of long ago.

Another note. One of the things I have always regretted was that when I was in high school, I did not come to know many of the parents of other classmates. I mean, there were some I knew fairly well, such as, Mr & Mrs Nicklas. She worked with my MOM. Also, Kyle's parents and Billy Jack's parents, and a few others. Most of ya'll knew my DAD. He was the high school custodian - You couldn't find a better man. It came to my attention the other day that I missed an opportunity to know your Father. I was sorry to hear of his passing, but read a very interesting memorial on his life. It must have been "A hoot" to know him. I'm sure you have fond memories.

Jackie, when you have a chance, let us know how Joshua is doing. He is in our prayers, and we are waiting to hear.

And a very happy birthday to Kay G. Schiller on the 25th(tomorrow). May you have many more!!!

Thanks, Billy Ray, Cary and Kay for the Birthday wishes. It was a very good day. For sure it was better than my 18th. The only thing I can remember about the 18th was that I was sitting at the Sun & Ski restaurant. Of course, the fact that I just had my 64th might indicate a hint of altimers and the reason that my 18th is almost completely forgotten.

Happy Birthday to Kay Griffin Schiller today.

Many of you have asked about Baby Jack. I have posted a new collage of pictures of him at 5 months. Though not shown in the pictures, he just had his feeding tube inserted because he no longer has the strength to take in enough nourishment on his own. He's still breathing okay with the help of oxygen. It's just a matter of time. We are all doing everything we can to make him comfortable. He is still very alert and incredibly sweet, and he's kept up the good fight. Thanks again for your concerns, prayers and wonderful thoughts. I'll keep you posted. God bless you and your families.

All our best,
Kay and family

Kay,
Baby Jack is so precious. I am so sorry he is having to have this path. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and sweet little Baby Jack. Please continue to believe in miracles - they can happen when we believe with all our hearts if it is God's plan.

Keep us informed.
Big Hugs,
Sue
