After graduation, I tried a little of just about everything. I have done welding, construction, nursing, phlebotomy, secretarial, management, fast food, etc, etc, etc..... and I STILL don't know what I want to be when I grow up!!! I went to vocational school after graduation to become a Legal Secretary and did that for a little while and got bored. I did fast food and loved it. It was because I was always moving and meeting new people and that is what I enjoy. I moved to Ohio on a whim one day back in 1994. My boyfriend (and future ex-husband, hehehe) and I got in the car and started driving and ended up in Ashtabula, OH. I called my mom, asked her to feed my cat, and got a job out there the next day! After about a year, I found out I was pregnant. Even at the age of 24, I thought OMG!!!! So, I got married and settled down. I wouldn't trade my daughter, Veena Marie, for the world. Anyone of you who have kids have been told by your parents, "I hope you grow up and have one just like you". Well, I did!!! I apologize to my mother all the time!!! We moved back to PA in late 1995 and lived in Carmichaels. We divorced in 2004 and I met the most wonderful person ever. She is the one true thing besides my daughter in my life. I feel that there is love everywhere. You just have to be open enough to let it find you!!! We have been together for 5 years now and everyday, there are still things I am learning about her. She has shown me how to live life fully and be proud of who you are and what you are accomplishing becuase there is only one person who is going to be looking back at you in the mirror and that is you. So if you can love what you see looking back at you, that is all you need!! Everything else will follow. If not, it wasn't true!!! She was the one to give the support that I needed to go back to school yet again and become a blood sucker. (phlebotomist) I still draw blood. I am an independent contractor for life insurance companies and do their para-medical exams. No offense, guys, but women ARE tougher than you. I have had big, strapping police officers hit the floor when they saw the needle. Women just take it and do what needs to be done!!! Autumn is going to school for her nurse practitioners license and I have her back 150%!! I can't imagine my life without her. She has a son that loves me. He plays football for Wbg and is growing like a weed. My ex-husband has a son that I raised from when he was about 8 months old and I love them both dearly!! My daughter is in the 8th grade in Carmichaels High (the arch-enemy I know!!!) but by looking around these profiles, there are several traitors in this class!! She keeps me busy with her schedule. She is such a social butterfly. She is battling melanoma on and off now for the past 2 years. Right now she is cancer-free but there is another spot that the dermatologist wants to see her back in June for another biopsy. Everyone pray for her!!
I am not sure if I will be able to make it to the reunion or not. It will depend on mine and Autumns' schedule. My email address is here for anyone who wants to write!!! I would love to reconnect with everyone!
There are just a few things I remember, like one day in Mr. Bayer's class. He picked up my tablet to read a note that I was writing to Scott Fuller, and I told him that it was personal and not to read it. Guess I pissed him off cuz he picked a desk up and literally THREW it into the hallway to get me out of his class!!! And I also remember the long LONG latin classes with Ms. Souders!! I am sure there are things that I have done and said to people that weren't very nice but I want everyone to know that becoming an adult means more than coming of age. I have grown up so much since school days! U really find out who your friends are....
