Through friends we have in common, I have been able to contact Patty Lieberman Miller in Joplin, Bobby Lieberman's older sister. Bobby died August 19, 1983 as a result of a freak accident on Highway 43 south of Joplin. The engine blew up on a tractor-trailer rig that threw debris through the windshield of the pickup truck Bobby was driving, thus resulting in fatal injury to Bobby.
Ironically, Doug Bell was a Newton County Sheriff Reserve at the time Bobby had his accident and he told me he discovered the damage in the windshield of Bobby's car that led to the discovery of the cause of Bobby's injuries. Bobby was a good guy when we ran around together during our freshman year. He is missed.
