Obituary for Peter E. Fisher
Adrian—Peter E. Fisher, age 73 of Brooklyn , passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014, at the Hospice of Lenawee Home. He was born October 26, 1940, in Adrian to Edward and Delia (Baisch) Fisher. Peter graduated from Adrian High School and Western Michigan University. On September 22, 1989, he married Pamela Yancer, and she survives.
Peter spent his career in banking working in many different capacities at Detroit Bank & Trust, Bank of Lenawee and Sylvania Savings Bank. He enjoyed collecting old and rare Coca-Cola advertising, fishing, growing rhubarb and asparagus and spending time with his family. He also looked forward each year to a weekend reunion in Glen Arbor with his SAE fraternity brothers.
In addition to Pamela, his wife of over 24 years, he is survived by their children: Michael (France) Fisher of Concord, NC; Douglas Fisher of Tecumseh; Jennifer (David) Poore of Waterford; and Jeffrey (Meredith) Fisher of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren: Tristen, Cannon, Camille and Claire; sister, Mary (Pat) Macdonald of Royal Oak; and Andrew (Donna) Fisher of Brooklyn; several nieces and nephews, his beloved Golden Retriever, Peyton, and a special fishing buddy, Kathy Yancer. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at Wagley Funeral Home with Rev. Sandy Benes officiating. Visitation will take place from 9:30 a.m. until the service. So sorry to hear of Pete's passing. I never knew he had such serious heart problems most of his adult life until he mentioned it to me when we talked at the reunion. My condolences go out to Pete's wife Pam and the rest of his family.

I am saddened to learn of the passing of two Brothers, Pete Fisher and Jerry Downing. As a pledge I remember Pete's dry sense oh humor and just being a "good guy". I went to Junior College with Jerry and then Al Anderson and I lived acroos the hall from Jerry and Paul Stanton in Hoeke Hall. Good memories.
My thoughts and prayers go out to their families. They will be missed.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Pete's wife, Pam, and family. In celebrating Pete's life, I have fond memories of Pete, starting with our time at WMU and joining Phi Alpha in1660. The memories continue over the years and the interaction we had: being college roommates on North Street; the interaction in beginning to raise our young families as we lived within a few blocks of each other; attending many fraternity gatherings over the years, the joy in spending time with Pete as his heart condition worsened and he faced it in the best possible way; and becoming Peyton's Godfather. I remember Pete for his sense of humor and his sincere concern for his fraternity brothers, and what fraternity meant to him Pete will be missed.

Pete always had that dry sense of humor and always kidded me about being from Monroe. I hadn't seen Pete for 50 years but at the reunion at WMU we reconnected and he was the same guy from our youth. Great memories will always get us through these sad times.
