Paul Arthur Stanton

December 20, 1938 — May 4, 2024

Paul Stanton, 85, a Bay City Michigan native residing in Farmington Utah passed away on 5/4/2024. He was the son of the late Leslie and Esther Stanton of Bay City. He was survived by two daughters Leslie George (Aaron Kusler), and Carolyn (Dan) Wren. Five grandchildren, Jordan, Gray, Xander, Elizabeth, and Aubrielle. A sister, Carolyn (Robert) Smith of Holland Michigan. He is preceded in death by his brother John / Jack (Grace) Stanton of Joliet IL. He retired as regional general manager for Louisiana State Newspapers in 2003 before moving to Florida. He was a 1957 graduate of Bay City Central, where he played football. He then received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Western Michigan University in 1962. He had previously been employed at newspapers in Michigan, New York, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Florida, and Louisiana. Paul’s passions were sports, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Cremation has taken place and at his request no services are planned.

Allen Anderson (1961)

Paul and I attended high school and Western together, with me a year behind him.  He was a welcome and strong support to me when I transfered to Western Michigan in my junior year and joined Phi-Alpha/SAE  Saddeded to learn that he passed.  Allen Anderson '62
