Jennifer Schmidt Ernest

My family moved away from Bourbonnais the summer we graduated. I attended the U of SC and then George Washington University in DC for grad school. I spent 10 years working all over the country as an professional archaeologist. When I decided to marry and settle down in 2001, I went back to school and got a teaching license. I now use my archaeology to entice and entertain my students as a high school history teacher. No kids for my husband and I who married in 2002 but we may just get around to it soon.

I like to tell my students about the firecrackers in the locker ... I think because I still feel guilty! I also remember Sr. Jane and counting Mr. Laurenti using the word "aspect" over and over and over again. I definitely remember photographing everything for the yearbook and I have a big box of pics in the attic to prove it!
