Welcome to the Southwest High School Class Of 1989 forums. Please press "Post Response" to participate in the discussion.

Hey, Everyone! I just happened to come across this FREE opportunity, so I took advantage of it. This site will replace our '89 Yahoo! Group as our Social Connection between reunions. It has all the benefits of Yahoo! and classmates.com combined, plus & it's all FREE. Well, I had to pay for our own domain name, but it was under $20 - you can't beat that price anywhere else I've looked.

Please come in, sign-up and sound off! Find your name, Create your profile, upload images, post messages, and keep spreading the word. Our 20-Year Reunion is just around the corner now and concrete details are forthcoming.

Would I just DiE to see how much I have NOT changed from that girl? Would it feel a little like it did then, with the gravity of under-popularity and self image crises out- traumatizing me into an academic failure of over dramatzed proportion? Will realizing what I am is "when I grow up" only not having remembered how I started that sentence then, or if I ever finished it now. Am I nearer to that what I am to become since leaving both the figuratve mind and the literal day of those years, since this could only send me to my next challenge or compel me to victoriously cowar as i'm swallowed whole inside the cocoon of blissful solitude?
What should I wear???

This is a nice site...THANKS! I don't think I've talked to anyone I graduated with since I moved from KC 16 years ago!

Kim, you are so silly! I'm in agreement though, I haven't grown up "to be" what I want to be yet. Therefore, it will have a significant "adolescent" impact on me and I will probably act stupid because I'll be all giddy to see everyone. That in itself will embarrass the crap out of me! As if I need One More Thing to worry about...now I have to think about how everyone else is going to feel, too? Aye, Dios mio!! Que voy a ponar! {same thing you said in Spanish}

Thanks to all who are commenting, please, keep them coming.

This site is great and very informative. My thoughts are how can we get the word out to all our classmates about this site. Thanks for your great efforts in putting it together.

Hey Calvin, I'm posting this website link EVERYWHERE I can, so if they're really looking for it, they Will find it. I didn't want to make the domain name long or complicated. The question then becomes, how do we reach all the class members who are Not Online?

Please help our small Reunion Committee out by telling everyone you know, who may know other classmates of ours. Believe me, coincidences have been happening all over the place since January 2008 when all this madness started. Our Committee members are running into fellow '89ers everywhere!

Our greatest asset has been Word-of-Mouth, believe it or not. We've gotten a lot of response by that method alone. So, please, keep it going and find more 89ers! Refer them to this website, or give them this Contact Information:

Elisa Mendoza, 816-741-8801, emngg@yahoo.com, there is also a specific address to the "Organization" as well. We will need full names, addresses (for Registration Tickets/Info, Invites, Mailing, Class Directory, etc.), email addresses (one you check often), and phone numbers so that we don't Lose Touch again!

The Class of '89s 20th Reunion Committee are not just going to "drop the ball" after this reunion has passed. We fully intend to continue to inform, invite, and hold fundraisers, class mixers, and events between reunions!

Thanks, Brandon for all your help, too! What are all the "naysayers" saying now? The ones who didn't care or want to know about the reunion?

I agre. this site has so much love thought into it. Amazed one person could see the way to bring us all back together, in theory and ultimately in reality. ELISA, it's so beautiful.
Sorry my timing and placement of this question may not be what it should but the general topics board was not as user friendly... Anyway I wonder how ,in terms ettiquette, one goes about finding the friends more long lost in terms of not on this site and unaware of the reunion plans. I'm dying to see people that aren't signing in here ... I have no idea if they would be insulted at being "googled" or called out of the blue( shows how behind I am . GOOGLE???)
Does anyone have advice? Some people not easy to find by design I'm sure but I genuinely want to reconnect .
