Hey Kim! It's been a MONTH since you posted...dang...I've seriously got to get my crap together, eh? As far as finding other people, we are DESPERATELY trying to get Everyone signed up here FROM classmates.com - because we're FREE!

We have been using word-of-mouth, the online white pages, and a site called zabasearch.com - Actually, we haven't tried to Google anyone...maybe we should! Our meetings are full of discussion and we haven't really hunkered down and done any Cold Calling, as yet. Hm, I'll put that on our Agenda for THIS Saturday's Reunion Committee Meeting.

Some of us are connecting over on Facebook.com - we don't have a SWHS Classmate on MySpace.com YET...any volunteers? I refuse to be on ANYMORE Websites! I have a Twitter Page, a Facebook Page, I run this website, I still have the Southwest Reunions Alumni Association on Yahoo! Groups.com Page, and the Southwest High School Alumni, Inc Website (which is currently inoperable 'cause I'm STILL broke!). *taking a few deep breaths*

Thank you, too, Malcolm & Monique! We look forward to seeing you there. Thanks Malcolm for helping us spread the word - and KEEP DRILLING IT INTO OTHER 89ers' HEADS!! We really NEED the Attendance to climb for us to even Break Even, much less be able to pay for what we have planned. Remind our long lost classmates not to be cheap, this IS a ONCE IN A LIFETIME DEAL!! There's only ONE 20th Reunion, right?

Keep the comments coming. I promise to check back more often! Thank you to ALL who have helped, inquired, inspired, and transpired on behalf of the 20th Reunion Committee. We are all in this together class.

Eryka Adair Well the word is circulating. I spoke with Tammy....who spoke with several people about the reunion. Lisa - I will scan and email you some pictures in the next day or two. I found some pictures that were taken at prom and some pictures from Freshman year.

Regina, to answer your question, absolutely YES! We DO Have an Official SWHS 20th Reunion T-shirt Available with All Our Graduating Class Names from the Commencement Pamphlet. You can purchase a Class Reunion T @ http://zazzle.com/blazecraze*

You will have to purchase the Reunion T separately, I'm sorry for the inconvenience, this site required a "special" fee or set-up and I'm already in the hole for...a lot of $!

WE NEED TO RECEIVE REGISTRATION PAYMENTS ASAP! So, please pay them before you leave this site...pretty please? I hope you've been saving your pennies, because we've only been planning the Reunion since January 2007.

Thanks so much for your comments, we love hearing from our class members. Remember, if you attended SWHS and know and grew up with but Left our school and graduated elsewhere, we can always add them as a Guest on this website.

Its good to see you all doing well, i don't know when the next time we will all see each other but plan to keep in touch thru this site. i am getting married July 2nd (yes a Fri)2010 @ Friendship Baptist Church 3530 Chelsia kcmo. it's located off of 35th and Van Brunt next to VA Hospital, 6pm. i hope you all can make it to the wedding, and tell other class mates you meet-all of you have impacted my life in some way-you are all a Blessing.

Eric, congratulations on your upcoming wedding and subsequent marriage bliss to follow! It is certainly great news when one of our fellow '89ers finds happiness in this big cold world. Your words are too kind, Eric. Thank you for posting the Wedding Date & Location! That IS what these boards are for, after all.

Please, keep the conversation moving. I wish I had time to email each one of you individually, but maybe I can work on that After our 20th Reunion Blast!

I look forward to seeing, being reunited with, and meeting all of you at the reunion, AGAIN. Thank you for helping us spread the word, there are so many we still haven't found. Terri Cain Just got home from the reunion. It was incredible seeing everyone again and I had a great time! Can't wait to do it again. Thanks again to the reunion committee! You guys did an excellent job. Thanks so much for your time and effort!

The reunion committee did a wonderful job. I only made it to the dance, which was fantastic. After seeing all of my friends, I was just a little unhappy about not making it to all of the events. I was so busy taking pictures that I didn't spend a lot of time talking, catching up, and getting numbers. Regina mentioned getting copies of pictures. I think that, somehow, we should try to get copies of all the pictures taken and create a souvenir book and sell it. The majority of the profits would go toward future class events.

AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME is the word I would use to describe the reunion. If I could....I would kick myself for not staying for the entire Meet & Greet. However, I had a good time at the picnic catching up on old times (that was a reunion within itself) and Derek & I truly enjoyed ourselves at the dance.

Thank you, thank you and YOU'RE WELCOME!! I'm so glad we all enjoyed ourselves so much. It ended way too fast! George Ramsey said it would "all be over before you know it" and it certainly was.

Robyn wants me to send out a Class email about collecting photographs, burning them on a CD, and making it available to everyone. I like the Memory Book Idea AND the CD Idea. If you have a program like "Webshots" or a Microsoft Screensaver on your computer that will cycle through all the pictures, that would be the absolute best!

I will send this message out tomorrow as it's well after midnight and I'm still excited about the reunion! I'm glad I don't have to "drop it" altogether and am able to continue working on our Classes' behalf. We are looking into options, discussing a Cruise over on Facebook, and even a Resort option. That would be very different, indeed.

Keep reading and posting. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, your very kind words, thank you's and for expressing yourselves to your Class! I enjoy hearing from each and every one of you. We'll keep you posted.

We are also still trying to get those of us left on classmates.com over here to our '89 site. We are STILL Looking for the Rest of our Class, too! Please keep your eyes and ears open for any leads on how and where to find the remainder of our Class of 227 Graduates and over 65 more Southwest '89ers who did not graduate at SWHS, but did attend SWHS for awhile with us and are still considered by this Reunion Events Committee to be a part of our Class.
