In Memory

Peter Chiappetta

Peter Michael Chiappetta, 75, of Kansas City, MO, passed on Monday January 30, 2023 due to complications of a recent injury. Peter was born on December 31, 1947, to his late parents Margaret & Michael Chiappetta. Peter was survived in death by his two beloved sisters, Jaqueline Chiappetta and Anita Foster. Peter was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Christine Howe who he loved and adored so much, and his late aunt, Nadine Binaggia.

Peter graduated Rockhurst College, and then shortly after, he began his early career as a salesman which we would all learn later, was his calling! Peter would go on to venture some of the roughest terrain as a salesman and come out ahead every time. Peter graduated from DeVry University years later, with a Telecommunications Specialist degree. One thing Peter was great at, was picking up conversation with just about anyone, and could then have the room within minutes. Peter also loved to travel and venture new paths in life.

Peter found his path in Austin, TX where he and Christine started a new journey and Peter would go off and start his own landscaping business. They would later find themselves back in Kansas City after Christine and Peter retired. They bought their forever home in Parkville, MO where they would spend the rest of their time. Peter lost his wife Christine in 2014 and mourned her death until he gained his wings and met her at the pearly gates.

Sai Baba once said, “Life is a song—sing it. Life is a game—play it. Life is a challenge—meet it. Life is a dream—realize it. Life is a sacrifice—offer it. Life is love—enjoy it.” I believe Peter lived a full and happy life with little to no regrets. He always did what made him happy and lived by that standard. Heaven has gained another angel and we will all keep the treasures he left with us in our hearts.

Memorial services will be held Monday, February 6, 2023 at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO 64145. Celebration of Life begins at 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
