Message Forum

Welcome to the Southwest High School Message Forum.

The message forum is an ongoing dialogue between SW classmates. I decided it might be best to have all discussions going on under one forum to start out. We can bust it up later if warranted.

I started to do seperate forum topics but decided there's plenty of that going on with our Facebook page. So I'm going to KISS it here (Keep it simple, stupid)-all inputs under one thread and new posts scrolling from the top of this page. :)

Forums work when people participate - so don't be bashful! Click the "Post Response" button to add your entry to the forum.

Help request to get things rolling here! I'm going to be putting together MP3 soundtracks that will autolaunch to set the high school memory mood for this reunion website. Could you all suggest songs. Come on! I want you all participating in building this SW72 website. Which tunes evoke special memories!

Hey all! Its a big day because Ginnie Bargfrede (Hall) just joined up here. Don't tell her but I really had a crush on her in 9th grade study hall.

But Ginnie has also stepped to the line to take food and catering responsibility for the Reunion. We'll be firming these aspects up at our next committee meeting later this month.

Why don't we get a discussion going here on what you would like to see on food and catering. Who would you recommend for a catering company? What type of food?

They do have an approved list:

http://www.theworldwar.org/s/110/new/index.aspx?sid=110&gid=1&pgid=1106

The consensus so far seems to be nothing elaborate and scheduled, but some quality cuisine that we can graze on at will (yeah, I know this isn't proper terminology etiquette, but we are a cowtown).

I sure hope the gals kinda lead the way here because I don't want to see hot dogs and baked beans again. (the 20th reunion) :)

Thanks Robertoe! A man with a plan - it's a good thing. The Kansas City Catering menu selection for Hot/Cold Hor's d'oeuvres looked interesting - nice things for those who are vegetarian. Pierpont's looked good too. No menus on Good Eats or Feasts of Fancy - too bad. The internet is a powerful tool - not sure about having BBQ - sounds close to your dogs & beans! Oh, I am not vegetarian but have many friends who are and have helped me be more concious of that. OK peeps, more input please :)

Thanks all! I've contact all listed here.

Marion, Why am I not surprised you've tracked down Pirate Pete. :) What a great guy!

Favor to ask....

If you have phone info for any classmates...

Or you have their mailing address...

Please use those to get an email address for them. Hit the 'Missing Classmates' link:

https://www.classcreator.com/Kansas-City-Missouri-Southwest-1972/class_classmates_missing.cfm

Click on their name here and enter their email address. Then they will automatically be taken off the missing classmates list.

If they aren't email oriented, we'll have a snail mail address for checks up on here in a few days. Tell them about Friday night at the Waldo Well and encourage them to snail mail checks in.

Online (or smailmail) registration will be up and operating by April 15th. Then I'm really gonna dig in and encourage folks to get this Missing Classmates list whittled down.

Its all looking good!
