Martha (Meacham) Parker

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Martha Parker, 79, of Roy, Utah, returned home to her Heavenly Father on June 9, 2024, after a life richly lived in service and kindness. Martha was known for her beautiful quilting and crocheting that she made and gave to so many grateful people, Martha was a beacon of light and hope in the community, blessing lives through her service. Martha was full of love, laughter, and resilience, she touched the lives of all who knew her.

Martha was born on April 8, 1945 to Clarence Rogers and May Geneive (Putnam) Meacham, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Martha graduated Davis high school in 1963.

Martha met Brent, and was married on November 27, 1962, in Clinton Utah. Martha and Brent went on to raise an amazing family, who loved her so very much, Bret (Melinda), Chet (Jana), Rick (Lorelei), Trent (Erica), Cris (Shalise), Trevor and Travis Parker.

Martha was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She raised her family and developed a love of crocheting, quilting, and puzzles, she would spend hours happily making quilts and blankets for her family as well as people with-in her community. She loved spending time with her friends and family which brought her great joy.

Martha was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and May Genieve Meacham, her husband, Brent Parker, and grandchildren Blake and Kelsie Parker, her siblings Colleen (Don) Grant, Walt Meacham, Quhid Izatt, LaVar Taylor, Phyllis Meacham.

Martha is survived by her sisters Laura Izatt, Melba Ortiz, Russ Meacham, Liz Meacham, Mary Taylor, 7 sons, 5 daughter-in-law's, 37 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren all who will miss her greatly.

To commemorate her incredible journey and to celebrate the love she spread, a service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at the LDS Church. 1828 N 3000 W Clinton, UT 84015.

I am sorry to learn of the passing of Martha! What a joy she and her sister Mary were to know in Jr. High & High School.... upbeat and positive!  I loved running into them in later years in the community and catching up. May God bless her family and all who loved her! Pat Woolsey Barlow
