Judy Ragland
Monroe, Utah

Our beloved Judy Parish Ragland passed away June 3, 2022 in Richfield, Utah at age 76 after battling Alzheimers for many long years. She was born on June 23, 1945 in Burley, Idaho to Archie and Josephine Woodall Parish. She married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Ragland on May 4, 1967 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Judy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She always looked forward to her visiting teachers coming and relief society evenings. She held different callings over the years but teaching Primary and compassionate service were her favorites.

Judy was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and enjoyed learning about her heritage. She enjoyed crafting and was often painting ceramics or doing macrame. She loved being outside and always had a garden to work in.

Mom loved going on car rides, especially in the fall to look at the changing leaves. She loved all animals and enjoyed spending time with her dogs. Mom was friendly and loved talking to everyone. She had a great sense of humor and had such a big laugh.

Judy is survived by her husband, Jerry; two children: Jamie (Bobby), St George, Utah; and Jared, Tucumcari, NM; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; and her siblings: Archie, Peggy, Brian, Bonita, and Robert.

Judy was a mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and friend. In memory of Judy from her loving sister-in-law Sherri—Judy has suffered with Alzheimer’s for several years now, and can now be a whole person with her Heavenly Father, and all of the rest of her family who have gone before her. I am trying to be there for my brother who has not only lost the love of his life but was unable to spend what time he needed to be with her because of Covid. God, please hold her and love her for the time she has missed, I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, AMEN. Though the body dies, the soul lives forever. May you rest in peace.
