Moved to Kearney, attended school; graduated from Kearney High School in 1959
Military: U.S. Air Force, Jan. 29, 1963, - Aug. 25, 1964
Was the receiving manager at Kmart for more than 25 years; took early retirement; worked for Nebraska Department of Roads in the Interstate Highway Maintenance Department
Activities: attended First Baptist Church; member of American Legion Post 52, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 759 and the Kearney Eagles; was a musician, played the steel guitar in several bands including the Western Wanderers, Bob O'Neal and The Playboys, the Good Ol' Boys and the Outlaw Band
Survivors include his sons, Kris of Kearney and Jon of Wilber; daughter, Ann Loibl of North Richland Hills, Texas; sisters, Lois Idt of Lincoln and Ione Beavers of Morrill; and seven grandchildren
Was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother
