Comments:

After high school I served an LDS mission to Anchorage Alaska from 91-93 where I met my future wife. I got married in Nov. 93. I have been married now for almost 17 years. I graduated from Western Culinary Institute (Chef school) in Portland OR. in 1996. I have spent 16 years in the restaurant industry in various postions. I am currently the General Manager of Marie Callenders in West Valley. During those 16 years I took a 7 year break and sold real estate full time until the market went into the toilet. I am still an active licensed agent w/Keller Williams just not doing it full time. I also spent 11 years as an adjunct faculty instructor with Salt Lake Community College Chef program. I do a little bit of everything.

I have 4 children my oldest daughter Kylee is 15 she will be a sophomore at Copper Hills High School and she played on the sophomore & JV basketball team last year as a freshman. This year she should play JV & Varsity.

My first son Cameron is 12 he plays basketball & baseball and will be in 7th grade this year. He looks just like me only not as ugly as I was at that age. He has made the all stars in baseball the last 3 years. His 9 year old all star team from West Jordan won the State Championship and our reward for winning was we got to spend a week in Panguich UT. Two things he has accomplished that I never did while I played, making the all star team & winning a state championship.

We adopted our last two children and have had both of them since birth. My second son Cason is 6 he is originally from North Carolina his birth mom came here to Salt Lake where he was born. He just finished Kindergarden and will be starting 1st grade in about a week. (Stupid year round school the kids get screwed out of summer vacation)

And finally my second daughter Kodee is 5 and will be starting kindergarden. She is originally from and born in Mississippi where my wife had to fly to go pick her up.

It's a long story about the adoption but they have been a wonderful addition to our family and we would not be complete w/o them.

School Story:

My senior year almost failing 4th term of Mr. Johnson's english class and not being able to graduate. I copied a book report from another student on a Shakespeare play. When I got my grade back it was a D-. Mr. Johnson wrote in red pen & in big letters "next time you do a book report I would rather read what you write and not a rehash of what someone else wrote." At first I wondered how he knew I copied it then I realized how dumb I was he knew I was not smart enough to read let alone understand a Shakespeare play especially since all I really did in his class was sleep. (no I didn't drool in case you were wondering). Luckily he did give me a D- because if he would have given me an F (which I deserved) I would not have graduated I would have had to go to summer school.

I do remember Mr. Johnson giving us extra credit for bringing chocolate chip cookies for the class. I made sure each term I took full advantage of getting that extra credit.
