LANA WAS ONE OF OUR SMARTEST CLASSMATES, ALWAYS IN COMPETITION WITH SUZANNE BLOOM FOR TOP OF THE CLASS. I HAD HEARD SHE HAD HEART SURGERY WHEN SHE WAS QUITE YOUNG. SAD TO SEE SHE PASSED ON SO YOUNG.
Lana was my closest friend and I still mourn her early passing. She opted to have heart surgery in December 1964 and died of complications. She was smart, beautiful, creative and fun and the world lost a very special person. I will forever remember our rides in her '58 Chevy Bel Aire convertible with top down and hair blowing.

Lana was one-of-a-kind... She loved life, and was loved by many. Her passing was the saddest moment in my high school experience.
