Jack died on November 28, 1969 in Viet Nam.  He was full of life and was a person anyone would be honored to call "friend".  He was taken from us  far to soon and continues to be missed.  Should you find yourself in DC, he is on "the Wall" in DC, Panel 7W, line 59.

He is also on the wall in Veteran's Park at Canalside in Buffalo.

I have been to "The Wall" in DC many times, and each time, I find his name and pay tribute to him...I do the same for Roger Kelly, (KW '66) and James  Rozo (MIA)..

When I was in the army in Korea my mother sent me the news article about his death. It interested me because, like me, he was a Military Policeman. We were in the same Mechanical Drawing class taught by Mr. Fleishman.

Robert Smeal, class of 1966, was also killed in Vietnam. He died in a helicopter crash. Although not in our class, he should be remembered.

I remember Jack well. His death was tragic.

I was in vietnam a year after Jack. I have been at the wall several times. It is hard for me. I always say a prayer for Jack at his panel. I will not forget.

I remember Jack well.  He was in our grades at Kenmore Junior as well.  So tragic.  I went to Vietnam a month later.

I have been to the DC wall a few times.  My first time, I found Jack's name but couldn't quite reach it to trace his name on paper.  A man standing behind me, without saying a word, took the paper and pencil and stenceled Jack's name and then handed me the paper back.  It was memorable moment.  Jack was one of those guys who didn't come around too often.  Handsone, personable, popular, intelligent, friendly and he treated everyone the same.  Even tho he was one of the "in crowd", he never made you feel like you didn't deserve his attention or friendship.  He willl never be forgotten and we Thank him and all of you who have served this country.  God Bless.
