This hurts. It hurts even more to know so little of Steve's life after Kenmore save his passing.
I fondly remember the winning season. I think I got to every game except Trott away. Steve wrote "To my most avid fan..." There were probably other "most avid" fans, but I was hooked. And not just the winning season, but for three years. It was a joy to watch Steve on the court. And it was fun to finally win.
Does anyone know more of what Steve did after high school and college?
I remember fondly the many noghts we spent at Ted's Hot Dogs on Sheridan...I would eat one regular and Steve would down at least 2 foot longs, with mega hot sauce!!! In the early 80's I bumped into Steve in Houston at a health club and we chatted for quite awhile. Not long after that my Dad sent me the newspaper clipping about the accident... Quite teh bummer.

Steve passed away suddenly in 1998 in California. He was buried in Elmlawn Cemetary, Town of Tonawanda.

I remember Steve playing pro-ball in Italy in the 70's but lost track after that.
