1963 – 2012
 

Kathleen M. Piasecki, 48, of Kenosha, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, after a courageous battle with brain cancer at Aurora Medical Center.

Born in Kenosha on Aug. 26, 1963, she was the daughter of Albert Stefani and Marie "Toni" Capelli. She was educated in local schools and received her Associates degree in science.

On Aug. 19, 1983, at St. Peter's Catholic Church, she was united in marriage to Michael J. Piasecki III.

Kathy was a health enthusiast and body builder. She was a self employed massage therapist, retiring because of her health.

She always made a lasting impression with her devotion to her family and was always active in her children's many activities. When her children were in grade school, she served as a den mother and Cub Scout leader. She, with another mother, started the first Halloween event at St. Peter's Catholic School. Kathy was an excellent cook and baker. She enjoyed spending time flower gardening and feeding the many birds that graced her back yard feeders.

She is survived by her husband, Michael; her mother and step father, Marie "Toni" (Don) Kleczka; her father, Albert Stefani; her two children, Michael and Emily Marie; her two brothers, Anthony Stefani and Thomas (Kelly) Stefani; her three step-sisters, Debbie (Tom) Rigelman, Doreen Richter and DeAnn Thompson.

Kathy is further survived by her mother-in-law, Nancy Piasecki; her sister's-in-law, Joan (Chuck Wilson) Piasecki, Barbara Piasecki and Catherine (Randy) Moulton; her loyal best friend, Kim (Rick) Hansen; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; her uncles, Ed and Tom Capelli; her father-in-law, Mike Piasecki, Jr.; her step-mother, Joan Stefani; and her niece and nephew, Todd and Gina Capelli.

In accordance with Kathy's wishes, private funeral services will be held.
