I believe that Gene died in a car accident on June 17, 1973. He was still playing in a band and was driving to a gig when the accident happened. Gene was about to graduate from UW with an electrical engineering degree and was engaged to be married. Gene was the Best Man at our wedding and was the godfather of our son. Gene was a great friend, he was funny and smart and someone who we expected to always be in our lives.
