Graduated from Yakima Valley College School of Dental Hygiene, 1983. Attended Marymount Manhattan College, NY, NY 1997. Attended Chapman University, Irvine, CA 2005 (will complete my BA in Psychology sometime in the future :).
I have lived in Spain, Manhattan, NY, Los Angeles, CA, and finally moved back to the Seattle area 4 years ago.
I've been employed as a Model in Europe, a Dental Hygienist in Seattle and New York, a Dental Sales Representative for Henry Schein, Inc., a Dental Consultant for Health and Safety Communications, Inc. (OSHA Consultant to dentists and physicians nationwide), and a Dental Provider Relations Representative for Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
I am currently on the Speakers Bureau for the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. Our college (FIDM) is the new home for the current TV show "Project Runway" as all episodes of this show are now filmed at our Los Angeles campus.
As a Speaker, I give classroom presentations to high school students throughout the Seattle area. If you have (or have had) students in high school in Washington, California, or Arizona, it is quite likely that they have heard a speech from one of our Speakers (maybe even me) sometime during their high school career.
Although I have yet to speak at Kent-Meridian High School, I did speak at Kentridge (boo!! hiss!!:).
Seems ironic that I am STILL attending High School :).
I was one of those horse-crazy girls who spent most of my high school years focusing on my horse and showing.
My big claim to fame is that I was the 1979 (or was it 1978 - I can't remember...too long ago!) Washington State Hunt Seat Equitation Champion (which I was awarded at the Puyallup Fair).
Oh, I almost forgot, I also competed in the Miss Kent Pageant my Senior Year (along with Debbie Nelson), and I had a great time. Although I did not win, it was great practice for my future Speaking career!
And finally, the highlight of my Senior Year at K-M was my Senior Graduation trip to Hawaii with Debbie Nelson and Sara Towne...good times.
